Social Networking Site Like Myspace Pays Its Members

So the other I was surfing over at Traffic Swarm racking up some points. I ran across this advertisement for Yuwie, a new social networking site. The premise is that you sign up, create a profile, and surf the site and you get paid a portion of the sites profit. For every 1000 page views, you get a portion of the profit. I don’t know about you, but I probably only rack up 1000 page views per month. But for those of you who are really in Myspace or Facebook, you guys could probably rack up 1000 page views a week.
Some of the features that your Yuwie account will have are blogging, messaging, and groups; adding friends, pictures, and photos; listening to music, and a referral. So the more of your friends that you refer surf, the more you earn. It is totally free to sign up. Membership is open to people worldwide.
Now, there are only two drawbacks I have found so far. First, the site has a fairly regular rotation of pop-up ads. I use Ubuntu, a linux OS, for most of my regular computing. Additionally I use the latest version of Firefox. In my experience, Firefox catches %95 of the pop-ups. So definitely make sure you are using the latest version of your favorite browser. Second, the site uses a fairly heavy rotation transition ad pages. For example, lets say I was reading my messages. When I leave my email console to another part of the website, the next page that is shown is an ad. You have the choice to do something with the ad, say clicking on the sponsors link, or you have the option of skipping the ad. About %99 of the time I just hit skip ad.
The best part of using this site to earn a little extra money is this, their affiliate program. Their affiliate program pay out ten levels deep. They claim you can make up to $.50 per 1000 page views. I am very skeptical about that. I am guessing it is around as the site grows and matures, it will come in somewhere around $.10 and .$15 per 1000. So for arguments sake, lets say it is $.10/1000 page views. If you refer 3 people, and they refer 3 people until you get to 10 levels deep, you “could” make approximately $2047. This example assumes 1000 page views x 3 referrals x 10 levels. Unless you know the people you are referring personally, I would venture to say you could probably make about %10 of that. There are going to be a lot of people who join and don’t do anything with it. But this is definitely not one to pass up. Check out Yuwie to see why people love this site and get paid to set up their profile, join groups, browse other members, and listen to music.

Hey I just wanted to let you know, I actually like the piece of writing on your site. But I am employing Chromium on a machine running version 9.10 of Crashbang Ubuntu and the UI aren’t quite right. Not a important deal, I can still basically read the articles and look for for information, but just wanted to inform you about that. The navigation bar is kind of challenging to use with the config I’m running. Keep up the great work!
