There are tons of phone apps out there for the iPhone, the Android phones and BlackBerry handsets. Perhaps the best apps are the ones that allow you to save money. And boy, there are lots of those! Following on from yesterday, here are a few more favourites.
iBarcode. Use this barcode app on your iPhone to enter the barcode or name of a product and find retailers in the same area offering a better price.
iFareFinder. Get the best price on flights using this iPhone app.
iWant. If you’re out and about and want something (such as food) you can save money by locating the place closest to you that has what you want.
iXpense It. This is a great iPhone app for people who want to track daily spending and use the information to stick to a monthly budget.
Kids Eat Free. There are many restaurants that allow kids to eat free. Find them easily with this iPhone app.
Local Reuse. This is an iPhone app that works similarly to the Freecycle organization.
Local Sale Finder. This is a free iPhone app that does exactly what its name suggests.
Meter Readings. Track your household bills for energy and water. This allows you to pay attention to reducing those bills over time.
miBudget. This personal finance app for BlackBerry users works for both business and personal accounting.
Mileage Manager. Many people use this BlackBerry app to track mileage for reimbursement from their employers. It can also be used to increase your awareness of how many miles you travel; cutting back will save you money.
Mini Mortgage Manager. Get a really good idea of how much money you’re spending on your home mortgage using this inexpensive app.
Mint. Use the mobile app for this popular money-tracking website to do your budgeting on the go.
Mobile Allowance. This is a great app for O2 customers who frequently go over their minutes or data plans. It allows for easy tracking of your mobile account so that you don’t ever waste any money.
